Let’s Catch Up!

I thought I would devote this blog to what is going on with our dental practice and its amazing team. Last month we spent 2 days with our dental advisor and friend Beverly.  For 15 years Beverly has come to our office and helped us become a better office and a better team.  She has had a tremendous impact on all of us.  This visit was bittersweet.  We had an incredible 2 days of learning and growing, but at the end we had to say good bye to Beverly.  She is retiring at the end of the year and will no longer be consulting.  We wish her a great retirement, but we will miss her!

You may have noticed that scheduling or rescheduling an appointment has been a challenge lately. We have been very busy.  While this is a good problem to have, we are taking steps to improve the ability to schedule in a timely manner.  Thanks for your patience!  Until our changes can be effective, we ask that any schedule changes be made as far in advance as possible.  This will make it easier for others to have access to our services.

Dr. Sexton recently had to say a tearful goodbye to his two exchange students. Alice from Ukraine and Rutvi from India have been living with him and Sara since September.  These incredible girls embraced their time in the United States.  Dr. Sexton and his wife got to re-experience the joys of having 2 teenagers in the house. Overall it was a great experience for all of them.  Memories and friendships where made that will last forever.

Our assistant Lyndsey had a baby girl in March. She is home enjoying her first child.  In the meantime Dr. Sexton’s daughter Michelle has returned to help assist part time. She worked with us several years ago and we are happy she is back on our team.

Our newest hygienist Kelly got married earlier this month. Her and husband Brody are excited about a new house and a new life together.  Hygienist Heather and our office coordinator Rachel are both busy planning for graduation parties for their daughters.

The rest of us are looking forward to vacation time. Our office will be closed June 28th and reopened July 9th.  We plan on having fun, relaxing and rejuvenating.

Everyone have a great Independence Day!

Dr. Bruce
